I think it’s crazy how Gunn balanced introducing all these characters without really feeling like they overcrowded the plot. The daily planet crew def feel like they were there for cut scenes, BUT I like that they give the world texture. All the other heroes really help serve the themes AND set up a JLI down the line. God I love how this movie kind of just skips past the inciting incident

finding a new way (other than using Zod) of creating mortal danger for Superman is 100% necessary for a Superman story. this was really the only movie that did this well

personally I dont like James guns fight direction. The camera work is irritating imo, all the panning and rotating is a cheesy attempt to enhance the fight choreography....its reminiscent of tik tok dance videos...Luther while better acted then Zodd was pretty one dimensional bad guy
