I’ve always focused on me. The problem became I started believing that falling down; whether it be physically or emotionally would hurt me. And I wasn’t accepting of my own pain. I started turning those “what if I can’t” thoughts to ones of “WHAT IF I CAN DO ANYTHING. SOLVE ANY PROBLEM. CREATE ANYTHING. “ what if I stopped caring if my authentic experience of WANTING TO DANCE AND BE OUT OF BREATH. If my body feels like it wants to MOVE instead of creating physical distance. I GET UP AND JUMP AROUND. dance. Wiggle it out. Scream. Scream so loud you realize how much your voice can hurt you. And then take a sip of water and let the emotion PASS. complete the thought. Finish the song. And your nervous system begins to calm down. And I REALIZE I ACTUALLY DO WANT TO CONNECT WITH OTHER HUMANS. they are not scary. 😱 my power with my own voice and allowing myself EMOTIONAL SPACE. that’s ✨ magical ✨
