I’m struggling with the different doesn’t mean wrong 😩 I just want him to do it my way because I’m the one that spends countless hours researching. He’s just going off how his parents did it! But he was no golden child which proved it didn’t actually work for him! X

Relate to this 100%! I gentle parent and my husband is a traditional parent. We used to clash so much but now we’ve found such a middle ground. He’s taken some of my approaches, I’ve become more firm on other things and I feel like we’re a proper team now!🙈sometimes we still approach things differently but there’s less arguments between us for sure!

Me and my husband are exactly the same - the only thing I’ve found when they’ve grown older is that they want me for everything, I’m there favourite and now my husband feels like he regrets shouting etc and has definitely grown into being a gentle parent now - ironically he had the gentle parenting approach growing up and I was surrounded by shouting and smacks when naughty 😂 I definitely knew I never wanted that for my children as it’s definitely made me being timid being older xx

musks and my partner to parent in similar ways but there are some things we don't align on. I'm happy for her to use felt tip pens, he isn't keen yet(she's nearly 3), I let her climb on things to build her confidence because she isn't a climber, he doesn't think it's a good idea, but we shay's discuss our opinions and try to meet in the middle

Me and my partner are the exact same my two are now 4.5 and almost 3 and it’s still really hard but the little ones are also at a hard age right now and we both just parent how we chose because as long as the end goal is the same and it happened either short term or long term then it doesn’t really matter if I parent different to them, the children still know the boundaries they have with both parents and it works

I find dads thrive with the concept of ‘playful parenting’ which can have a gentle centre but works better for them! ❤️

Me and my husband are completely opposite also - we always say i’m the push over & he’s the strict one. But it was always the same with my parents growing up & I actually think the balance is really important 🙈
