@thekristianasmith: Dewights have done such a stellar job at convincing us that our own spiritual heritage is evil, that we are now convincing each other in churches every Sunday. @tfc.virtual heavily centers the Black experience. We also have a few white folk that rock with us. One of them told us recently that they were inspired by our "Black Women & African Spirituality" ministry to look into their own ethnic spiritual heritage apart from whiteness. They learned that, before the creation of whiteness, their ancestors practiced Celtic spirituality. It gave them a sense of connection so much deeper than anything they had ever experienced in their White Evangelical church. All of us need to be delivered from the "Christianity or Bust" mindset. A healthy relationship with God can include Christianity. But White Supremacy has convinced us that it must be limited to Christianity. That has never been true. And it never will be true.
