What about built up resentment from abuse that was caused as a child, where you weren’t able to protect urself. Like parents severely contributed to sever harm. How do u go about not resentment?

Its quite hard to move on when the issue hasnt stopped. And even harder when the other person hasnt apologized. Anger and pain breeds resentment and that is the human condition 😔 its like telling someone not to feel.

Allhamdulilah i dont really get angry. but with my parents i cannot help but hold resentment, they ruined my life through all forms of abuse and i literally cannot forgive them ive tried. i hold on to that resentment and it amplifies when people say its your parents so you let it go

but what if it's in a marriage with a horrible spouse constantly committing sin and no respect for you. and seeing them daily Ur resentment and hate and anger only grows... in this case divorce but its not always easy it can take time. what do u do in that situation

i try so hard to forgive and forget....but it's difficult when the person is an abusive parent. It's especially difficult when you're still living with them and the conditions/abuse is just getting worse and worse
