for anyone confused: when me and my sister were little (we are very close in age) we would often need/want the same things, so to not get them confused and to keep us from fighting I would get pink stuff and my sister would get purple stuff. if we wanted different color things we were able to get them. at one point, I got blue things a lot instead of pink because I wanted blue more. also, if you’re saying you don’t get it because you’re American I’m also American sooooooo

pink in history was seen as a color that was easily achieved by most common people because of how it was seen as a washed out red but purple was one of the hardest colors to be achieved and mostly worn by royalty so keep that on mind if you’re sad about it :)))

my older sister was the pink sister and I was relegated to purple - engrained in me that I wasn't allowed to like pink- ended up being a tomboy then when I turned 25 I realised I didn't have to hate pink. my PC set up is now white and pink 🩷 (my old one was black with rainbow RGB)
