That doesn’t necessarily work because whenever the time finally comes around, they still don’t want to talk about it because they are so emotionally guarded. It doesn’t matter if it’s an hour from now or a month from now, they just can’t process the emotions.

This is an eye opener. God bless you for this. I love this man like I have never loved. However the more I tried, the more he retreated until he broke up with me. I don't know If he will come back. just listening is scary. But I love him.

Life is hard enough being fir ourselves what we need to keep our mind’s right. Me, personally, o learned it was too exhausting to try to hold onto myself while being with this person. Love him immensely, but couldn’t healthily do it anymore. I had the patience of Job and nothing but love for this man. Good luck I hope someone on here can make a breakthrough and have their minuscule needs met as well

I appreciate running into this. I've noticed how we get so close and then he gets so far. I am trying to find the right things to do without him pushing me further. I will do my best to use this to help us move forward and not cycle again.

Thank you for so much information. I just got out of a relationship with an avoidant, I'm an anxious 😟. I pushed...he pulled, until we both broke free. It was making me sick, I thought he didn't care now I see he was hurting too. I know now we cannot make it work. It’s been 2 weeks of silence and I won’t reach out and blocked him because I'm done. I have to regain what I lost. He can have all the time he wants, don’t want this ever again. 😢

How about 6 months, blocked me everywhere. No closure or accountability. I reached out with an olive branch a week ago he called and left a voicemail but never spoke and hung up. Hasn’t reached again since.
