Through the bone-rattling cold of Bucovina’s heights to the sun-stained dust of Dobrogea’s plains, you move not because you want to, but because the sheep must. Every stone underfoot has been cursed, praised, or bled on by a grandfather you never met. You read the clouds like holy scripture, argue with the wind, sleep in wool and silence. You learn the taste of loneliness, and how deeply it can resemble peace. Civilization may call this a job, but you know better—it’s a curse passed down with pride, like a family heirloom no one dares polish. The world may not notice the path you carve, but the earth remembers. Will we ever understand the romance of repetition, the poetry in patience, the kind of madness it takes to chase grass across an entire country?
