As a father of a daughter I agree with so much of this. but i would also ask you to consider that a lot of societal expectation on women is driven by other women. my daughter is 13 and when it comes to worrying about her being safe at school or worried about her mental state, it's the other girls that concern me!

Not me each time I get in a taxi making sure I put finger prints on at least 5 different spots and running my fingers through my hair to maybe leave some of that behind. Because the one time I walked home alone I was followed 75% of the way home and I’d rather not put myself at risk like that again

I learned self defense. Every woman can kill a man with one move of her hand, or cripple him for the rest of his life. I also had two big black German shepherds with an aggressive Instinct to protect me. When we encountered men at night I had to call out: Keep walking, we will not harm you. Turn the roles around.
