@amysheppardfood: Dauphinoise Jacket Potatoes I wasn't sure that there would ever be a dinner more comforting than cheesy jacket potato...until I made Dauphinoise Jacket Potatoes This is like the next level in comfort food - Crispy skinned potatoes, stuffed with camembert and topped with a thick, garlicky cheese sauce, finished off with golden grilled cheese This is basically a celebration of cheese. It's one of those dinners to have when you're feeling a bit rubbish, maybe on a rainy day, curled up on the sofa in front of the telly. I've written up the recipe for this below. Let me know if you're going to try it, A x Feeds 4 4 large baking potatoes Olive oil Salt and ground black pepper 50g butter (plus extra to put on the potatoes) 3 cloves garlic finely chopped 40g plain flour 500ml milk 100g grated cheddar (plus extra for topping) 150g Baking Camembert cut into wedges Heat the oven to 220C fan Place the potatoes in an ovenproof dish, so they have a couple of centimetres gap around them. Drizzle in a little olive oil. Use your hands to ensure they have a thin coating all over. Season with salt and pepper and bake in the oven for an hour or until tender. Melt the butter in a non-stick pan. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Stir in the flour on the heat until hot and bubbling. Slowly add the milk a little at a time. Stir continuously, only adding more milk until it comes to the boil. When the milk is used up, season with salt and pepper. Stir in the grated cheese until melted and set aside. Open up the cooked potatoes by cutting a cross in the top and pushing down at the sides so the potato breaks up a little . Place a knob of butter on each open potato. Use a fork to push it through the potato and flatten them a little. Tear each wedge of camembert in half and push each piece into a potato half. Pour the cheese sauce over the top so the potato and skins are covered. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top, before cooking under a medium grill until the topping is golden brown #jacketpotatoes #cheese #comfortfood #cosydinner #DinnerIdeas #sotasty #Recipe

OMG the amount of people going on about how they're not traditional dauphinoise. Isn't that obvious by the fact she hasn't layered sliced potatoes? Who cares what she calls it, the woman is a potato genius!

I have been making these but without the camembert I use a mixture of cheese usually extra mature cheddar, gouda and emmental and i also add a large dollop of cream cheese to the potato i also scoop all potato out of skin mash it with lots of butter cream cheese and the 3 cheese i use in the sauce. while doing this I air fry the skins on 240c for an extra 4 mins then put mash back inside the skin top with the cheese sauce and air fryer 240c for another 5 mins its incredible
