I actually write in second person. No, I will not be explaining further.

do people really not like present tense? to me it makes sense to write in present tense. the story is happening to the characters as you read. unless the characters are in the middle of a memory or witnessing a past event. might just be me personally.

ever-person, first, third, 💀, i am a person with a lot of chracters, so I need each chracter to see the main character and show what's going on, and third person bc I want the reader to see what's happening while making then hooked of what the chracters are feeling

Is it okay to have two main characters? Like they switch around every chapter, mine has very different POVs and see the world kinda differently, and they’re both kind of (and I mean kind of, most of the things they say are true but it’s mostly experiencing social interactions and reading others that they both can have trouble with but in different ways and reading different characters) unreliable for different reasons, so you need both of them to fully piece the story together yourself, is that too tricky? I think I would be able to make it with only one narrator but it would take A LOT longer to unpack things.

The way I did an omnipotent(no clue if I spelled that properly, I’m dislexic and that’s the closest autocorrect got me) is by not switching in every scene but every story, so the world setting has multiple main characters and the storyline switches between them with(when I actually write the book/s) one book being about one character, one book being about the next and having them seem entirely unrelated until the point where they all meet, forming the final story, at which point I will switch to one main character, that being the first one I made

I write in both third person and first person depending on the scene. I do like 90% third person, though. I only do first person for prologues, epilogues, or for the start of a chapter (very rarely)

I recently refused a manuscript because it was 3rd person omniscient PRESENT TENSE. I was so confused during the whole 2K words sample.

What do you think of third person limited for majority of the story but using omniscient for big battles like a war where you want to showcase multiple character’s rather than filtering a huge battle through one characters lens?

Can I switch? I want to do a switch from this person, to the next and sometimes third person

Third person is easer for me but I absolutely despise reading third person and could not reread anything I wrote so I decided to start writing in first person

Unpopular opinion, I think third person is best for fantasy or historical while second and first is good for contemporary thrillers or paranormals. But that's just my opinion😉

Omniscient is…a lot. I’m reading Razorblade Tears right now and it’s discombobulating. Head hopping mid-paragraph is…a lot.

i think that I probably do 3rd person with a focus on one particular characters story 24/7 like I don't jump perspectives but the story is still told evidently from another person who knows everything's perspective but it only focuses on one person so omniscient I guess but not really

I feel that 3th person is harder bc it's definitely has a wider perspective than 1st person, but that's why I like it more personally

The book I’m working on now went from dual first person to dual third person. Solely cause it compliments the characters better.
