i don’t think he means like lyrics yall i think he means the vibes of the song. a lot of his songs are romantic, but it’s all a certain type of sound. soft spot is a little more pop, so diff sounding compared to his songs that have very certain chord progressions. i understand why he says it didn’t catch up to his taste yet

That’s crazy that soft spot is the most popular song off the Requiem album but my all-time favorite song for the requiem album is Texas every time that song plays, I start to sing the song on the top of my lungs word for word.
