I'm a mod for 5 friends of mine and you're correct 💯. One of my friends live there is another mod that I don't like because he wants to be a smartazz to new people who come in there saying idk if y'all do only one kind species of wood so I'll tell them it's all hardwoods species and thanks for asking 😊 but the other mod says hence the word hardwoods and you knew it's all hardwoods 🙄.

exactly. I have mods to prevent drama and pple being ugly towards me...merry the host. but my mods will lose their privilege of being my mod if they r the ones being rude.

So true. I was a moderator. I welcomed others and helped get subscribers. I'm easy to get along with, because I'm friendly. But some other moderators on same team causes drama, especially 1 or 2. They like to think they own the host and try to take control, then also make drama, especially against me. So that was tough for me. As the host didn't do much about it and kept letting bad behaviors happen. Too much affected me. So it is good for hosts to handle their moderators, so it doesn't affect their broadcast and make it a friendly environment for everyone.

I seen some where a mod banned everyone who talks cause he wanted to be the only one talking. Even if they were like gifters costing the host big money in the long run 💀💀.

As long as people are respectful to the host and everyone else im fine as a mod. Sadly some host can have a source attitude to some. Mods should be supportive, welcoming and polite. God bless

As a mod who has worked with many hosts- some seasoned, & some fresh out the gate- I work with the host to make the experience easier. Greeting people as they come in. Answering some basic questions. And for the new hosts- even helping them understand the platform. It isn’t hard to say hello to people. A simple “hello” or “welcome” can do wonders. Makes the new person feel welcome. And openly speaking to the team. It’s not just a team to some.. it’s family. Moderating isn’t just about muting/blocking people- it’s about creating a safe and positive atmosphere with the host. I will say… I am friends with many on my teams. Not everyone. Sometimes there is someone I don’t care for (maybe prior encounters or how they are in this room). But it won’t stop me from being hospitable to that person. My pet peeve is the mods who flex their power (muting/blocking someone because maybe they heard something about the new person) and seem to have the host under their thumb. Maybe because they are the big gifters too. But coming into a broadcast & seeing only the mod talking to the host.. that’s a no for me. No one else seems to be able to get a word in. And thank you to the hosts that actually realize how much a mod does for them- appreciates them. And also realizes, that we are people that have a life outside TikTok. So sometimes we can’t be there. There are good hosts out there that do not take what they have for granted. And I applaud that.

As a mod, this makes me sad. I’m a mod for a few different people and they all run their rooms differently. It’s my job to understand how they run their rooms and act accordingly. If in doubt, let the host guide you.. I’m sorry you had that experience 😔
