Call me crazy but this just seems like a more.. how would one say polite way to exploit and get rich off of the immigrants. You mean to tell me they have to pay a fine okay that’s fine they have to buy there own health insurance also okay. They have to pay 1% of their earnings to the US treasurey. But they aren’t allowed to any benefits even though you’re making them pay taxes like everyone else? That’s not a dignified life… they aren’t working for a better life they are working to make the United States richer! What a ridiculous bill!!!

Build back stronger :
That would be better than nothing but there won’t be nothing dignified about this proposal. That would create another class of immigrants in the country and it would be very unfair to have them pay 1% of their salaries, taxes, social security, Medicare +7 years of penalties while they won’t be able to enjoy no benefits. That would turn immigrants into slave. Any form of legalization should include a pathway to citizenship so all immigrants can have same rights and responsibilities.

Hell no just get married to a u.s citizen & in 2-4 years you become a resident and after being a resident apply to become a citizen and you don’t have to pay no money to the government period cause after those 7 years are over your on your own again there just trying to make money off of immigrants to fix there debt

This is an opportunity. I swear people are never happy. Its a fee for legally breaking the law when entering and making amends to the country to where you are able to stay and still have privileges to travel. I understand that it makes a status issue amongst immigrants who can and cant afford it but unfortunately thats life.

With no criminal record, but they broke the law to enter the country. They’re paying taxes with forged documents and fake Social Security numbers and sometimes someone else’s Social Security number so why are you enabling this?
