I really miss these times we didn't live near my grandparents but we would call them every Sunday and whenever we had vacation time we would go visit sit on my grandmother's front porch snapping beans or go see my dad's family sit on the front porch just chatting those for the days

What is described happened last about 35-40 years ago. Not a few months ago. Families have been on the decline since about 1972 and falling ever since . Only small amounts of people ( more single parent homes - try to keep family unity ) do their best to keep traditions.

I took my children over both grandparents her and mine at least three times a month or more Now my children are growing and now I’m the grandparent and they never visit and barely call, especially my grandchildren. Nothing like I said an example for.
