I got the kyleena one and had minimal to no side effects. I’ve loved it. I was between kyleena and the copper one but heard that the copper one can make your periods more painful and heavier. I also know a few people who have still gotten pregnant with the copper IUD. I definitely recommend doing some research though.

I’m on my 5th mirena and have loved them! I do spot for quite a while after insertion but then I have no periods. And I’ve only had so many because I just get them between each kiddo postpartum. Insertion hurt with the one I got prior to having children (baaad cramps later that day) but none have really hurt at 6 weeks postpartum. I’ve heard the copper gives suchhh heavy bleeding.

I have the Kyleena and it’s great! I’m super sensitive to any medication side effects and I have none. It’s made my period lighter and less painful
