I use to watch the podcast he’s in he said that he told the producers that he did not want to be in the suit at all. he said that in s1 they wrote into the story that he got his suit already so early that he went back into production and told them that he’s not doing it. that wasn’t the deal. that the whole point of smallvile was to show Superman before he was known as Superman his back story. that’s why he got the suit at the end of the show to end that story line and start his life in the spot light.
