@plassonade: Guide on knowing what to buy and when ⬇️ STEP 0: Don't buy UNTIL you KNOW what to buy STEP 1: Automatize your existing devices (Smart TV, Laptops, Alexa, Google Home, Siri etc...) and services (Spotify, Amazon delivery...) STEP 2: Doing Step 1, you will realize that you can be lacking information (e.g. turning on the Smart TV only when being on the couch etc.), this is the perfect time to buy SENSORS (presence, motion, contact, temperature, humidity), I have the good ones on my Amazon store (link in bio) STEP 3: At this point you automatized what you already have and perfected it with the help of sensors. Now you can buy devices that will take your existing automations to the next level, and will leverage your sensors at the fullest: smart curtain motors, robot vacuums, smart locks.
