I think it’s a scale. When AAA games get bad, indi games rise in popularity. When AAA studios adjust to new tastes they come back on top and the cycle repeats.

An unfortunate part of the problem is most methods of generating revenue from mobile games ought to be broadly illegal for the greater good of society, which as a bonus would be good for gaming overall. Don't see that happening though

its cause xbox and PS and such are greedy its not a crash actual greed but everyone will make every excuse. while nintendo is as always putting their money back into their games and creating jobs. I'm tired of people defending and making excuses for the other companies it will be everything but bashing xbox and such

thats not a crash thats regular Tuesday for Microsoft its their main thing they buy studios after few years thet sack everyone there probably to account for gamepass losing money there is nothing major actually happening for most of the industry ea activision ubisoft are still doing their usual thing

Even if great games will continue to be made, less space in the industry means less variety for niche tastes. Expect to see fewer small weird games like Journey or Edith Finch or Hi-Fi Rush
