Even if you donate, it’s still gonna end up getting shipped to Africa. Only 25% of donated clothing ever gets re-sold in the US. The rest gets foisted on developing countries to figure out what to do with. Donating it (or shaming others into it) is just piety

I know someone who works in a warehouse that deals with artists merch… they literally can’t donate them because of a major company refusing to. They would rather have them in the landfills then hand them out to the homeless or donate them anywhere.
