Walmart has a monthly membership that includes free delivery and pick up. They also have discounted fees for low income etc.

This is a very good and fair take. tips are completely optional. It is also completely optional for you to take the order or not!

Exactly you pay for convenience which is a luxury, and proper etiquette is to tip. If you can’t afford to tip then you can go to the store yourself. What would you want to get paid per hour to do this? Probably way more than what you’re willing to tip. Oh wait you don’t want to tip at all!!! 🙈

You say luxury I say lazy. 😁 If you expect somebody to do something for you that you can do yourself you have to tip them. Every situation that tips are involved in no one has to participate in. They should do it themselves.

If they can’t afford to tip they need to go and get their own food/groceries. I agree completely.

As a customer who’s paying for groceries AND paying to use a service for delivery, I believe in tipping to be a blessing to others. However, the idea that tips are owed prior to the service does not sit well with me. The amount of money I have thrown away on high tips for delivery services that did not carefully or properly deliver my groceries is plentiful. A delivery driver is not “owed” a tip prior to delivery. I tip half initially then another tip once my delivery arrives and is delivered. Also, everyone has the right to use a delivery service, not just people who can afford to tip. I think that in life, we gotta do what works for us. So if not taking a delivery due to no tip is what you need to do for your own best wellbeing, then I support that. Tolerance and acceptance is love for humanity. Be blessed, I pray you get great tips from here on out.

That’s why I stopped doing door dash - no one tips anymore and I’m delivering food that takes 20 mins to get then drive 8-15 miles for 3-4$

I give a minimum of $10 any time someone is bringing ANYTHING to my house! I can't believe people are arguing about this.

I think it’s less about “affording” the top and more about people not understanding that tipping is part of wages for good/or luxury services.

Period! I tip mine on the Walmart app and always give them a few bucks cash when they drop my groceries off. It’s a service, they’re not doing this for free! 🤷🏻♀️show some gratitude
