I wonder if acetone would take off the gold if it’s paint? If it’s plated it won’t work but if it’s gold paint it might just rub off with some nail polish remover

Cant you go to a jeweler and get it replated? Might be a bit expensive but i think its worth it over risking to ruin it

Try rub and buff it comes in a little tube from the hardware store. test it on something else first.

Weird idea but if it's painted vs plated, people who paint tabletop gaming figures might be able to give you some advice re: getting the outer coating off. The charm really does look like it might have gotten scraped on gravel or fallen onto those sharp metal steps in an urban area. There's got to be some way to file down the chips on the charm so it's safer.

you could peel off or tried to give it up the gold or try to make the whole thing gold again or fix the problem if you take off the gold, you might get a different design, then originally available make it more unique because I feared from others or soon lady talking about the silver version she used to have, and I guess if they make a silver version, then must have silver gems and a silver background, and the cold one is gold gyms in a gold background I assume
