Thank you!! I hate how dumbed down and minimized verbal abuse is being treated with this situation, because she admitted Cory didn’t sa her and their automatically dismissing everything else she’s stated even though she never did say he sa her to begin with

I understand and agree with some of your points just keep in mind that we really don’t know the whole story but what we do know is that she purposefully fabricated parts of the story wich does kill credibility and unfortunately, as soon as the Internet hears that that’s what the Internet is going to run on. I’m not trying to discredit her coming out and speaking on the situation. But the way she went about it and how she put it together, comes off as if she’s trying to frame him or get him canceled and it’s clear enough, where the majority of people online are going to take it as such. But again, we don’t know the whole story

Most people aren’t empathetic enough to have a genuine conversation about abuse. Mental or physical. And part of that is because theyve never experienced it.

Fr. It's always "hold people accountable/abuse is bad" until it's someone they like 💀 It must be a pride thing. Regardless of whether or not the stuff is real, that joke in the video is still beyond weird and unfunny. What's the punchline? Assault? Like...

They don’t care they just call everyone fake samurai and say it’s not that serious….and Cory won’t come back which probably for the best his fanbase is insufferable and they act like they know him

honestly, about 95% of everybody talking about this dont care about abuse because I have yet to see anybody address the mental state of the 2 individuals, offering any type of emotional support or suggesting therapy. everybody's just making think pieces with no resolution

Really it’s just crazy in general, like the original girl never claimed that he sexually assaulted her in anyway and yes, and the joke was really bad but she also did admit that they did used to joke like that this is around 2015, which is still bad. It doesn’t take away from it that very horrible joke but that was type of humor those two had at that time.) The real upsetting thing is the people who say none of it mattered and the group of people who believed the fake Twitter account that spread those false rumors and they were acting like they were her when actuality they were not) It’s really upsetting all she wanted to do was just spread out her own experience and a relationship that was pretty bad because he ghosted her and then tried to get back with her. That was really it)) but people just construed her message and made up anything they wanted to make up to defame Corey.

forgot to talk about the whole "good men" archetype and how this is reductive because 1) it puts men on a pedestal for not being shitty but also 2) pushes this idea that men inherently cannot be good and there's only a few Good Ones that exist in the world

it is weird to make that kind of joke, but based off that video alone, where it’s clear she was playing into it in the kind of way a new relationship would it’s safe to assume they were both comfortable with that kind of humor, Futhermore, the woman then comes out and says (although pretty out of context) that it wasn’t sa. I agree that some people shouldn’t be playing internet lawyer for cory though, bc at the end of the day none of us know.
