I want to get sterilized so bad. I NEVER want my owe children. I’ve known that since I was 10! & I’m currently 24. I’ve always said if I decide to be a mom I’ll just adopt! I do NOT want to ever be pregnant! Known that my whole life pretty much. I’m just worried with all these laws changing that it’ll be even harder to get sterilized now😭

I feel like this should be the next step for me because I hate birth control, I don’t want kids, I’m already in perimenopause I think, and I hate my organs lol. I did hear a rumor though if you have endometriosis, there might be a rare and small chance of still bleeding because of the endometrium tissue outside of the uterus that was removed

Hi! I had my tubes removed when I was 26 and I do not regret it at all. It was very minor I was down for 2 weeks tops, I take a progestin only birth control now that has since stopped my periods. 200/10 recommend!

All are different. My partial they took everything except my ovaries. No cervix at all left, no tubes, and no uterus. And experienced some symptoms.

I’m here for the series. I just came to this conclusion a few months ago so trying learn all I can before I approach my doctor about it. She gives me free meds because they’re not covered by my insurance so I hope she won’t try to talk me out of it or refuse.

so question, why the partial hysterectomy instead of having your tubes tied? Would you still have a period or something? Cuz some people are telling me that the tubes being tied is like the more simpler surgery.

So if I wanted this done I would ask for a partial hysterectomy? I’m 32 I don’t want kids, I never have. I get horrible periods, but I don’t wanna go into early menopause.

I’m 26, and I really don’t want to have kids, but I have heard that if you get a hysterectomy you have to be on hormone pills the rest of your life? Is it the same for a partial hysterectomy?

I don't mean to unlock a new fear but you can still have an ectopic pregnancy on your ovary bc you still have them obviously the baby wouldn't be viable and this can be very dangerous for you, the chances are low but never 0 😭

I’ve been told no since I turned 18 by so many OB’s and now I’m 27. I had a pregnancy scare 4 years ago and decided “yeah no this isn’t for me. I don’t want kids.” So now I’ve been celibate for these 4 years and I’m STILL trying to find an OB who’ll perform the surgery. Like if I’ve gone as far as becoming celibate to avoid pregnancy, do you really think I’ll ever change my mind? Get for real🙄 these doctors and their excuses. Ugh

Wait how did you get someone to remove your uterus? Because this isn’t something I’ve heard of before without having a medical reason for it. Also you do not have to have a uterus in order to get pregnant. You can still get pregnant it will just be an atopic pregnancy.

I want the uterus and ovaries removed 😞 but after reading it will make me go through menopause early it makes me reconsider :((( I don’t want the hormone changes that come with ovaries.. pmdd is hell 😭

i don't want my uterus removed because it's an invasive surgery and I read that missing an organ can lead to problems or complications, but do you think removing my tubes could be the same? I never understood why people remove their uterus when they can have a less invasive surgery and still be sterilised

I got my uterus and tubes removed because the tubes r where the baby gets fertilized did this a couple months ago love it no more periods or anything like that🥰only thing I will say as someone that had a iud and then got this is the after surgery is a pain but worth it, you feel sooo bloated and it sucks if your active🥲and everything feels like its floating around trying to find its place but im ok with that cuz now I can do whatever I want with my mans and not worry about nothing and iv already gotta kid🥰if your in the Midwest and know of ku medical center Dr. gray did my surgery no questions asked
