we bought our first home 4 months ago. two things are true: you can love and be grateful for the home and complain about the process. it is a lot. I do not find joy in the process, but I take pictures so I can look at them later when my feelings are more removed from the situation haha. it's quite difficult when you work full time and then come home to another full time job plus caring for yourselves and pets. you are doing amazing work. I definitely get tricked by the internet too with home renos, but there is nothing fast about good, intentional renovations. sending you positive vibes!!

bought our first house last month. garage door (bearings, springs) broke the first week. I had no idea how expensive those parts are! also I’m itching to go buy all the furniture but learning to be patient and picky

Yup! I *what I thought was temporarily* moved into my grandma’s old house in 2020 and didn’t fully start decorating for myself until like 2022! I’m honestly not even close as you are in 5 years. It takes a while to really build a HOME. ♥️
