Fun story, we had a major blackout, so all power went out, called my friends on discord using my phone to let them know. (my friends the IT guy) he got called 3 times having to explain they don't have power due to the blackout and having them try turn on their TV's and look at their microwaves to confirm it's a blackout and not the server. Listening to this on discord knowing they made more money than me hurt my feelings.

exactly what that said too. "we cant get the KDS to turn on". did you make sure it had power? went in that night. pushed the power cord for the monitor in, display lit right up - system already online.

All i'm gonna say, is that computers have been commercially available in homes for 30 years, and I still hear every day, I'm not computer literate, and at this point, that's just not a valid excuse anymore

today my coworkers went to go get the forklift to lift something off a trailer. they couldn't get it to start and said its dead. I asked what it has no power. they said no I just didnt crank. walked over and look straight at the gear shifter currently in drive. told them maybe if it was in neutral it would crank. and guess what it did. I swear idk how so many people can be this dumb. ( I have faith in like maybe 4 people at work and we have 4 different crews)
