i love how careful he is when saving people too. he’s not just snatching them away at light speed out of danger because that could seriously hurt them. he’s placing his hand on the back of that little girl’s head to make sure she doesn’t get any whiplash from how fast he’s going. it’s very delicate and gentle and goes the extra mile to show just how caring he is

And it does a good job illustrating the power disparity between Super Man and the Justice Gang that Clark would try and figure out a humane way to end the fight, where as the Justice Gang just has to stop the fight however they are capable of. Clark is so much more powerful than them, he can be picky about how to stop end the fight while protecting everyone to a higher degree than the Justice Gang could achieve.

Why wouldn’t he? His entire planet, all his people, all the creatures, all the life on his home planet is gone. You can see the point A to point B of his empathy.

For me it was seeing the little kids raise the flag. Genuinely made me tear up a little and gave me goosebumps. I loved this movie so much no notes

The characterization was great but Gunn also kind of wrote a world without consequences. Like when fire breath engulfed the floor of an office building and everyone was fine not because Superman saved them but because they successfully ducked the flames. The city was literally torn apart but everyone conveniently avoided all the debris and destruction.

(SPOILERS) was anyone else a little surprised how unceremoniously he killed his clone self? Considering he thought godzilla was worth saving I really thought he would find a way to bring the clone around, maybe it ends up living with his parents to learn humanity, idk xD
