@steve_haggerty: Both are relatively similar exercises - bilateral lower body compound movement. The main difference is the trap bar is a partial range of motion exercise, while the back squat is typically a full range of motion. With that in mind, the TBDL should allow heavier loads which would be good for peaking. The back squat can still be good for heavy loads and peaking, but since there is the chance for a larger ROM it will be better for building muscle. #strengthandconditioning #sportsperformance #squat #trapbardeadlifts
