My parents lived under Hitler. I would never ever support the USA in any way. Ignoring fascism and pretending it doesn’t exist is condoning it. Just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Privilege is having the ability to choose whether you will support or oppose fascism.

I’m not saying I predicted things would get as bad as they already have, but I knew it wouldn’t be good. I went across the border for a shopping trip Jan.17/18 specifically because I KNEW I would not EVER go while that aberration of a human being held office. I have a close friend who wants to go to music festival in the US when she turns 40 next year, I’ve already told her I won’t be attending. My absolute best friend of all time - we wanted to to got NY to celebrate when we turn 50 in 2027 - we’ve both already agreed that is completely off the table. I. Will. Not. Support. Fascism. Ever. 🛑 Full stop.

Same! We were planning a NYC trip before Cheeto got re-elected, scrapped it once he did & spent our money here in Canada instead. Will not be setting foot in the US until he's gone. I don't feel safe to travel with my family there. It's like they read about 1930s Germany & thought great idea
