Creating the situation in which the audience is upset with Vi directly plays into the narrative created by the writers, where Vi has always been held to high standards and expectations in comparison to the rest of her siblings. This feels intentional, as the audiences initial reaction being “how could you do that to your younger sibling” seems to be conveyed by the writers as “see what we’re talking about, now look at this situation again”

People always refuse to let Jinx take responsibility for her own actions to the point where they don’t even notice that that is one of Jinx’s fatal flaws. Her lack of accountability for everything is so apparent, but the fandom is too enamored with her to see it.

No because I feel SO bad for Vi, she had such high expectations as a child put onto her by Vander. Guilt was probably consuming her in prison because she probably thought everybodies deaths were her fault because like Vander said “If something happens to them, it’s on you.”; then people completely misunderstand her and call HER the jinx. Poor bby 😣

It baffles me so much. How is Vi irredeemable for punching Powder in an emotional outburst (that she immediately regretted), but Powder can be forgiven for making a conscious decision to set off a volatile explosion in a building she knew her family was in? The tragedy of the situation is they were BOTH children who didn't know what they were doing. Neither was responsible enough to be blamed for their mistakes.

i am willing to bet serious money that a lot of the people who say Vi legitimately just abandoned Powder either haven’t watched season 1 since it released, were on their phones while watching the show, or only consumed the show through clips and reels and are just parroting what they see from other people that didn’t pay attention
