This needed to be said. The Elsie edits went far beyond “I don’t like this character.” They cruelly mocked Elsie’s appearance and mannerisms, it wasn’t ok.

I’m all for him sticking up for his friend/coworker and that it’s not fair that people are hating on them. I personally think that adding Skye’s character in season 2 was pointless because they aren’t in the book. Why do we need to stray from the story and focus on gender identification/non-binary in a setting or story that didn’t involve it to begin with though?? I get that we live in a world where that’s a thing now, but it has NOTHING to do with the plot or the book….

They were fine, they just played obviously an arch of undesirable hence a villain or someone who plays an opposite character had nothing to do with them. It was a Fictional Actor on a fictional show … and they played it perfectly. Tf

good that he's speaking up about it (a little late tho if u ask me) but to say its a small percent of the fandom is.... not it. it was SOO MANYY of them on every socmed platform shitting on skye and elsie for the stupidest reasons (looks, pronouns, mannerism, purpose) and even now, everyone is being so hostile. the awareness that that side exists is refreshing, but also, barest minimum
