Okay your home style is STUNNING 😍 as the owner of a housecleaning company, some pointers. When I do walk throughs with clients selling their home, I envision myself as someone who’s going through the struggles of buying a home( it’s hard to do these as the owner because you’re focused on another home where most of your attention is centered) #1 LIGHT FIXTURES ALWAYS! Unscrew those bad boys and give them a good wash! Don’t forget to dust off lightbulbs too! This is one of the things that makes the biggest difference and helps illuminate your home beautifully! #2 BASEBOARDS, especially if a home with animals #3 kitchen and bathrooms, consider things like cabinet doors under toilet seats, grease stains, hard water stains etc! Think about it, buying a home takes so much effort, then you have to consider the actual move which is a nightmare, buyers are definitely looking that hard because having to clean a home on top of those things is just a headache! Although your home is absolutely Tidy and gorgeous people are looking at the smallest things when buying for sure!

It looks good. Are the windows clean? Walls? Baseboards? Under the sinks(a normal place to check for leaks)? Light fixtures? That's what I notice for taken care of home. Also, front porch and curb appeal.

And people don’t understand how HARD it is to live in the house but still keep it staging ready for strangers. Like sir/ma’am, I still live in the house, of course there might be something to deep clean but who has time for that???

Ok hear me out I wouldn’t look through your stuff or anything but I would definitely open cabinets/drawers to see if they were soft-close, how far back they go, or if there were any issues with opening all the way, etc. but I definitely wouldn’t comment on the cleanliness of the inside of someone’s cabinets and stuff when they haven’t even moved out yet 😅

As a Realtor: kitchen baseboards. too many plants. flooring transitions. hvac vents (paint them white). the teenage lights along the ceiling need to go. no dog crates in plain sight. They will look in the kitchen and bathroom drawers, closets and fridge - make sure those are organized and clean. add more white items. take your window screens down to bring in more light. I style/stage every home before listing.

Wait, I hope I’m misunderstanding this. How can you say it’s invasive and weird for them to look in cupboards?. if you’re selling this house, they’re not looking in cupboards to look at your stuff. They’re looking in the cupboard to envision their stuff in there to see if this house is going to work for them.
