Years ago a lady garden spider created her beautiful web on the corner of my patio door. We locked the door and watched her. She would reweave her web frequently. She was also a huge spider! She was mostly yellow and black but had a bit of orange striping as well. My sons were in grade school at the time— it was an excellent teaching moment (s)!

We used to call them writing spiders because their webs were so intricate and decorative!! Saw them for the first time while visiting my great aunt and uncle in South Carolina!! They had a wild flower garden and attracted beautiful spiders, bees, butterflies and hummingbirds!!! 🥰❤️
