Let's talk boobs! More specifically, breastfeeding. The hardest part of the breastfeeding journey for me wasn’t the physical exhaustion, the constant thirst, or pressure of clogged ducts — it was constantly stressing about making enough milk for Benny. I’d obsess over every pump session, every single ounce, and when it didn’t add up, I took it personally. I felt like I was failing at something that was supposed to come naturally. One time I had just finished a pump session and when I went to store the milk, I accidentally ended up spilling it all over the floor. I just broke down in Thomas’s arms because I felt like I wasted all that time and energy and couldn’t properly feed Benny. I remember cursing whoever said “don’t cry over spilled milk” because clearly they weren’t a mom. I felt so defeated. What helped me through those months was hearing from other moms who’d been through the same thing. Hearing “fed is best” was the mindset I needed to practice because as long as Benny was fed, whether through breastmilk, formula or starting solids, was what mattered. Their honesty made me feel less alone, and reminded me that every mom feels the struggle at some point. They reminded me that love isn’t measured in ounces, but simply showing up for my baby day after day was the real stuff. In support of World Breastfeeding Month, I’m once again teaming up with @momcozy to help support other mothers who might be in the trenches. We are hosting a #MyBreastfeedingMoments giveaway and all details can be found below in my pinned comment. #momcozy #beacozymom #cozyevolution #MomcozyRealSupport #MyBreastfeedingMoments #worldbreastfeedingweek #wbw2025 #breastfeedingjourney
