For all those "experts" in medical procedures in the comments, NO she doesn't need gloves, NO she doesn't need a filtration needle or whatever, NO she doesn't need any other form of protection like apron or anything else. You didn't go to medical college, so don't give your opinion on how to do it.

Personally I wouldn't be using a slip top syringe and needle. Luer lock tips go hard along with USP 795 and 797 but I can't ascertain what's being compounded. I'd still be wearing gloves when handling a glass ampoule though.

I always see them turn upside down the glass, so if there are shards, they dont go into the needle and leave a really small amout at the bottom also for preventivo that, dunno
