I AGREEEE when I was watching glows video abt it the way she was talking and the words she used were so mean girl and unprofessional af, I understand u feel like ur brand is being ripped off but keeping a professional stance is so so important

the poom owner looks so nice as well, i kinda want to buy their products instead of glow, dont get me wrong i never tried glow but know its good no hate to them. The only thing are the shades i dont want to get 3 shades to get to MY shade ☹️

I take on this is if you feel threatened by a brand that has the same vibe with yours but completely different products, that says a lot about how confident you are about your product. It doesn’t help that you shade range is super small. And the other brand, even though smaller has a better shade range. The founder of poom is on her own, she is working to make an acne safe brand because of her own acne problems.

honestly, the poom owner doesn't seem to be angry at all, but I'd encourage her to sue for defamation. this is possibly affecting her brands image and sales, all over mean girl speculation and imo, jealousy

ngl glow’s pr has always felt very unprofessional and mean girl to me even before this whole poom thing especially with all the mental gymnastics they’ve been doing to justify their lack of a shade range (especially since they definitely aren’t a small brand anymore).. poom’s products are completely different and puffs have been a common thing in china since before glow was even a thing so i don’t see how their video was necessary or how it couldn’t have been handled in private 😭 poom is made up of a one woman team and it just feels like glow is sending their cult following to dogpile her

she was literally guilt tripping the whole video “especially as a small brand..” well guess what, Poom is even smaller and you are potentially ruining their reputation. i’ve been a supporter of poom for a while and it makes me upset that she’s using her platform to be petty because of the similarities between her and other peoples brands.

i think part of it was how similar some designs were. not anything like formulas, not shade ranges, but the design. the logo itself is very similar, they use a VERY similar blue/purple for their products. i think she used "following all of their accounts" as a sign of copying. like maybe they follow glow to get inspiration for their products. im not trying to defend either brand directly but im also trying to make the possible POV of glow seen. basically just what i feel like she saw in the situation. she also did it in what looked like a car ride so yeah it mightve looked and/or just been informal due to her only having limited time in a car. maybe she had wanted to talk about it for a while but the only time she could was in that car. again im not defending either one and i cant speak for her personally but im using the way i see it as a possibility of how she sees it. the product designs are pretty similar and im pretty sure thats really what stood out. AND using a glow product go prop up one of theirs. theyre both small businesses and it can be a very stressful situation in a whole when another small business may be copying you. another thing i just thought of is that the creator of glow mentioned how people are getting "ripped off" when they buy poom which is acceptable to say. pooms bb cream is a whole $46 dollars compared to glows being $30 and if they were actually copying glow its way more expensive to buy the copy. also everytime that someone were to choose pooms over glows, shes losing $30 dollars. this is WHY situations such as this are so stressful for a small business and why she may be coming off as rude.

I blocked glow. Just do that. And it did felt mean spirited regardless how she felt about the product looking similar. The product itself is quite different in terms of of one is cc/bb moisturizer the other is foundation.

also, for small businesses ESPECIALLY its hard to be creative with packaging, because many businesses use the same manufacturers and let’s just say it, both packages are basic, i could name like five other brands with similar packaging😭😭 she got pissed about the colour scheme when tons of brands use the same colour scheme, as well as its harder for small brands to be more creative with packaging because its expensive to have more individuality
