This could not be more true. After spending 15 years in a Vice President position making 150k a year, I walked away. 2 years a good I took a 55k pay cut, stepped back, and moved to the country. Now working 40 hours a week, 9 to 5, instead of 65 hours a week. Dont let money fool you. Its not worth it. My Granny asked me one day, when is it no longer about the money ? I feel so much better. Less stress. More actual me time. I dont have to worry about getting my butt kicked and cussed out if revenue dropped. I just quit. Do I have stress? Yes but 70% less. Dont let the young face fool you. I am 53 and cant wait to retire. God Bless us. Get out of the Machine that is not for us, its for them.
