Grover lives a long time due to Satyr lifespans, also Reincarnation exists for the people in Elysium to try to get to the Isle of the Blessed. So Grover could meet Percy and Annabeth again in their next life. Or maybe after a few centuries Percy and Annabeth decide to reincarnate and their next lives meet under the tree that Grover became. Also let’s not forget about poor Tyson who’s in the same boat.

i could be wrong but i think the empathy link makes it so if grover or percy dies, the other dies. if so, i could see an idea where since grover is spiritually bond to percy, his soul would be taken to Elysium too
