I went to a heath retreat in Thailand in 2019 and they told me this exact thing!! If you have a c section you are well within your rights to ask the doctors or nurses to do exactly that!!

I left all the vernix on my children and I've also never used shampoo on their heads and they have beautiful hair. I don't know why we have to over wash out children.
