FYI for everyone's sake, security guards do not have the authority to arrest you or detain you for that matter. They will try and you can sue them for it. They are not police officers

He ended up pepper spray in this guy, and then shooting the guy through the window and unaliving him. In May 2023, a Multnomah County jury convicted Gimbel of second-degree murder, along with unlawful use of a weapon and mace. He received a life sentence with the possibility of parole after 25 years. Nelson’s widow sued Cornerstone Security, the property owner, and others in a wrongful death suit. A jury awarded approximately $21–21.25 million for compensatory damages, plus $1.25 million in punitive damages, a total around $21.25 million.

as someone who works as a security officer, we don't do this stuff, were not suppose to confront, we can ask people to leave, but if they don't, we call the cops. it's quite literally in all contracts of security guards. and it's apart of training. these security guards need to back tf off, it seriously gives all of the good ones, bad reps. if they want to be cops, then they need to do that, and stop being little shits. it's nuts that he's doing this. 🤦♀️
