We do not hold fried products or lunch items in a simplified breakfast cabinet . Only 6 strips per basket dropped and takes 6:15min to cook. Held for 40min we are required to do food safety before serving lunch . This could be that crew are dropping more than 6 strips which can cause it to be raw as we aren’t doing food safety for over 6 strips.

It hasn’t slowed down the flow much. Nowhere near as bad as days of dollar McDoubles and dollar big and tasty. At $2.50 a piece, these wraps are awesome

No. The strips wouldn’t be raw in the heating rack then back in the fryer, that’s cross contamination. (Which is not allowed) Probably someone put too many strips in a one basket when being cooked. That could be why some of them are a little raw. No one at my store has complained about them being raw tho.

The cabinet you are referring to is called a moffat cabinet. Chicken does not go inside of this cabinet. Nor does any product unless it is fully cooked. It does not “Cook the product the rest of the way” it simply holds it better than our regular heated cabinet, this is only used at breakfast and not currently used throughout the day. The original wraps were discontinued during covid due to the inability to get certain products to make them and the complexity as we were unable to have as many staff members. The chicken STRIPS cook for 6minutes in the lov fryers or 6 minutes and 15 seconds in the other fryers. The reason wait times have increased is due to in some areas the demand is 10-15 wraps per order. The only time I have seen a “raw” spot in a strip is if they are 2 Frozen together and dropped in the oil as is. When pulled apart after being cooked. Crew and managers have to pay close attention to avoid this happening in the first place, as well as paying attention during assembly to avoid any of these going out as they do not pass quality

I’ll confirm that which you can’t confirm. My McCrispy strips were raw. Therefore I REFUSE to order a McSnack Wrap. McDonald’s should have NEVER trusted their staff to cook something from raw. Fatal Flaw. Period.

personally I'm glad they're back but same time like I'm over them . I wish they would have launched some later in the year versus now because now everybody's getting the meal deals and school is about to come back in session and it's just going to be more chaos.

Ridiculous… I’ve worked at Wendy’s and I’ve worked at Taco Bell. Wendy’s at the time had wraps and burgers fries and baked potatoes and salads and I’ve wrapped tons of burritos it’s McDonald’s that’s the problem they can’t figure out how to have items other than burgers fries and chicken nuggets. That’s why half of the time their ice cream machine is “broken”… McDonald’s layout must be terrible on top of their workers are lazy and not well managed

my manager semi-complained about the new long wait time because it takes SO so long in car lanes with the snack wrap to one of our local corporates and he ended up dissing my manager stating "really? it shouldnt be its just a quick wrap and that it" sure, it CAN be quick, but if they want our presentation to be good while baving to make 6 wraps in orders, it's so fucking exhausting. especially if you're running its so stressful

mcdonalds manager here. the moffit cabinet that we use in the morning is used ONLY for breakfast. it uses steam to keep the breakfast foods fresh and we batch cook 3 times per breakfast shift. we do not use it for lunch. strips take 6.5 minutes to cook and we keep 6 per tray.

The chicken is raw because if you cook more than 6 at once they do not come to temp. The demand is demanding and at my store they are cooking 8 or 9 at a time just to try and keep up this is why they are raw.

The McDonalds near me are already so slow that if there's more than one car in the line they're pulling all of them forward to BS their drive thru times anyway so an extra minute doesn't mean much to me, not that I have any interest in the snack wrap anyway.

no, we don't hold them like that. They finish in the fryer and then put in the cabinet. I think the issue is, they take 6+ minutes to cook, and we are only allowed to cook and hold 6 tenders per tray. when you have 4 to 10 wraps per order along with people still order the tenders themselves, it's hard to keep them up. I see on this app, no one likes the tenders, but they are still our hottest seller even just as tenders
