neurologically≠socially. social conditioning alters whatever biological inclination you have. women don’t have a biological hatred for their bodies- society does. men don’t have a biological inability to safely express emotions- society does.

There are differences that point to a divide, just not in the way people think. Women have better frontal lobe function and possess stronger connections BETWEEN brain regions and hemispheres, while men have stronger connections WITHIN localized regions, specifically in their left hemisphere. I think this translates to the average woman being more inclined toward holistic and contextual mental processing (seeing the big picture) and a higher potential for empathy. With lower frontal lobe activity and stronger connections within regions, men are inclined toward impulsivity and compartmentalization, which enhances their focus and problem solving skills in tasks that rely heavily on the left-hemisphere. However It’s very dangerous to mistake this for “logic” bc with the wrong social conditioning, these tendencies combined with the influence of testosterone, can manifest as angry, closed-minded, ignorant, pleasure-driven personalities that are actually very illogical and emotionally driven.

Not completely but just largely a myth as in that there are some differences in human male brains compared to human female brains on a broad statistical level. There is supposed to be variance between gender characterstics both between different species and within the same species itself due to the fact that we all evolved from the same earth, and we track these statistics also by how we define ourselves currently. Everything is meant to function absolutely differently but our species is one of the many that split into two mainly dominant gendered functions. Key word mainly because mathematically there is supposed to be differentiation/nuance

people do know that if they say women are emotional on periods it's because their body produces more testosterone during that time right? because both male and female bodies produce both hormones it's just when one hormone has majority it makes a gender.

Its not necessarily the brain itself but the effect hormones have on the brain that make the differences

People just LOVE to artificially create gender distinctions across the sexes for some reason. I think it’s a heteronormative society thing.

1. hormones 2. socialization 3. gender norms two are behavioral and social impacts on the brain and one is organically biological but sourced from outside of the brain

I don't think any real academic would ever even suggest otherwise, there's literally no evidence to suggest differences in how our brains work except for subtle hormonal differences, but even then it's different in each population and is more dependent on your genetics than gender expression

The structure is pretty similar but the brain will do different things because of the different hormone levels

Humans are by and large the same, which makes the differences magnify. The premise here is that brain structure predicts behavior/temperament; I don’t think there’s a scientific basis for that.

this is a “disagreement” i have w my bf, i tell him beyond our bodies (brain excluded) most of our differences are literally just sociological not biological and he just doesn’t believe it

In terms of the very beginning, how they are? Sure, they would be very similar, but women and men develop very differently, especially due to the differences between them socially and how we are all raised

yes, absolutely, however, we need to also account for societal and cultural differences, since those can drastically change the development of the frontal lobe
