I recently found mold in my apartment behind the water heater. Last time I found mold in a rental it ended in court and took so much energy just to get people to do what’s right, legally required, and absolutely necessary. Im terrified to go through this again but I love where I live 😭

Have you tried contacting you local action news team? The people who “help” fix problems. Pretty sure the builders would hate for this to go nationwide.

Your concerns are valid. You and your family's lives are at risk. They are just mad that you are exposing a NATIONWIDE problem with new build home neighborhoods. Out here in AZ, we have a home inspector exposing all the big builders with $800k POS homes. He found gas leaks at 100% of the homes in a neighborhood. the city repair guy tried to say it was tiny so still safe. every 3 piece tub has cracks. insulation not installed. chicken wire behind the stucco is only covered by a poor paint job. walls aren't square. houses crooked on lots. DO NOT USE A BUILDER RECOMMENDED HOME INSPECTOR. Find one with a reputation for standing up to the builder for their clients like @CyFy.

Is it possible for you to bring someone with you, like a lawyer? (I don’t know your finances or anything, but it seems like if this is going to be a lawyer type situation, having one present might be worth trying) I hope they do right by you this time. 🙏 for health and healing

Due to the builders shortcut building practices and even worse repairs, they’ve actually brought this on themselves. As I’m sure they already know, and pretend to not know, long-term exposure to mold, can cause significant health issues, and with that, comes extreme sensitivity. Which is also there doing. S o even if you are looking everywhere for mold, it is not because you want to, it is because you and your families life depends on it!
