@weirdobookclub: I’m about 33% in to Breathe In, Bleed Out by Brian McAuley (out Sept 2) and so far it’s giving slasher movie vibes, set in a wooey, isolated healing retreat in the desert. It’s reading really quickly and I’m eager to find out what’s going on! I’ve read about 12% of The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow (out Oct 28) and it’s a slower read for sure but that is not a bad thing. I want to savor this story, already I’m in love. AND it’s historical FANTASY. Who am I? I’m someone who loved The Six Deaths of a Saint and needed more and now I’m eating. Daddy Issues by Kate Goldbeck (out November 18) is a romance and I’ve only read a couple of pages so I don’t have a firm opinion yet one way or the other. What I do know is that this is the same author who wrote You, Again (which I had fun with) so I’m excited to possibly have fun here too. We shall see. What are you reading?
