No, lavender (the plant) is not toxic as it is. It’s only toxic if ingested in large quantities. And here, we can clearly see that the cats couldn’t care less and aren’t trying to eat it. Essential oil, however, is toxic because it’s highly concentrated. So yes, we avoid essential oils around cats, as they are sensitive to the smell and generally don’t like it. But once again, lavender itself is not deadly. However, if you notice any reaction or issue with your cat after coming into contact with lavender, please consult your vet. lol not everyone going "lavender is toxic to cats" without verifying anything lavender plants are not harmful unless ingested in extremely large quantities, lavender oil is the dangerous one to eat, these aren't lilies with toxic pollen, contact alone with a lavender plant ain't going to harm to those cats
