I'm crying that they think they invented this. We had one of these on the TELEPHONE TABLE in our hall when I was growing up (the existence of a telephone table should explain how long ago that was 💀)

they're called "svuotatasche" (pocket empty-ers) where I come from, it's a thing from the early 1900s. I always used a bowl for that.

i love purse bowls because thanks to having one I always remember to have period products with me. Before I just assumed I had sth in my bag which unfortunately wasn't always right lol

I have a little zippy pouch that I keep small items in (lip balm, hand sanitiser, gum etc) and I move that from bag to bag. I actually think stuff like this HELPS overconsumption because you aren’t buying duplicates because you forgot something.

And yk if you try it with a bowl you already own and it's actually really useful for you, I think it's justified to later buy a specific purse bowl, either for shape, design or durability, because you know it's useful for you

I change bag fairly often and it's kind of sounding like a good idea the more I learn about it cause I always end up forgetting something in the previous bag and not having it on me when I need. developing the habit of emptying the bag would help with that. but I don't see how that comes with buying any new item surely??

Yeahhh no. I just turned my hallway closet into a purse closet. I have all my purses hung up, a six cube organizer to hold my wallets and stuff I keep in my purse, and I switch it out as I want to use a new purse.

I’ve been doing this for years for things I move between purses, and for things that I don’t wanna forget when I’m walking out the door, so it is practical! I agree, it is not something people need to be buying brand new items for, though. Goodwill always has pretty decorative bowls and trays!!!
