@novosocial: Last year, Starbucks UK paid £0.00 in corporation tax, despite making £500 million in sales. This was due, in part, to an arrangement where payment of royalties to its global parent corporation means it makes a loss, which minimises or exempts it from corporation tax. For the year, Starbucks reported a pre-tax loss of £35.2 million, linked to royalty payments, operational costs and a cost of living crisis linked to subdued consumer spending. What do you think? the reinvestment tax loophole is so ridiculous. you're spending your profits to grow your company so you can make even more? ok so? who cares. just pay your tax. if individuals try to argue the same that's what they get told. atp corporations almost have more rights than people.

Their sales in 2024 were £525 million. I’m helping to make that less right now.

The way forward is to make all money earned in the UK taxed thus shutting tax loopholes. You could even put business tax rates down if every company started paying them.
