I have kids and I teach summer school. School ended for me May 30. Started summer school setup June 2 and kids started June 6-June 27. I’m trying to catch up with deep cleaning now and trying to work out as well. I do have teacher friends that have older kids and they setup early and go on trips

I am not ready to go back to work on July 29 because I think I am still tired. Now we are getting closer to go back to work and I could feel the stress on my shoulders. 😩

The solution is to start at least 3 separate side hustles that keep you completely busy and panicked that the summer is too short to accomplish everything you want to 😂

Well, you get so much. We get eight weeks here because we do a modified year round. I feel it’s enough, but it does go quickly.

I love 8- 10 weeks. I had 10 days in Europe , working side gig part time from home for five weeks, and we go back August 13 just enough time to get bored and go back

Teacher Mom here. I NEED 3 months! This year, we only have 2 months, and 1 week in May. We do have more days off during the year, but they’re booked with school sports. I agree though, year round would be nice-it just acknowledges that we NEED rest, and breaks during the year would be longer than 3 day weekends.

I would like to have closer to 4 months with my kids! We go back August 14th and it will be beautiful weather until at least September 15th and they have to sit in school all day.

I get a little break doing ESY, I don't work a whole day, and always leave on time. I finished ESY at the end of June, and this week I had my first thought of being ready to go back to work 😂 this is earlier than usual. Idk. It's typically end of July, a few weeks before I go back. Also, no kids. Hubs and 2 boxer dogs.
