Everyone has to choose their circle and what they listen to. You're not a victim. And you're not different than women in this regard. We're laughed at for being women on a daily basis in public. Maybe the problem is you havent been put through it long enough.

As a society let's agree that anger is a secondary emotion and that it is acceptable (not shameful or weak) to own your feelings and express them. There's too much encouragement for emotions to be hidden for all individuals. "Men must hold their emotions in to be "strong" for the family", "women should be grateful to be mothers and don't have reason to be sad/ mad/ depressed/ anxious", "don't cry"... just a few examples but all harmful teachings that are ingrained in our culture.

never once one of my male friends have said that type of shit to me. but every woman i've been vulnerable with did... and i'm not saying it to make it a men vs women issue. just to say that everyone is susceptible to shun or mock men for just feeling. it's not just a men & men problem, and framing it as if it is will make it harde to solve the problem

And. Why therapy is critical for EVERY Black person. Black women are going to therapy to process our trauma but sadly, our Black men still refuse therapy. Therapy should be mandatory and FREE for all Black folx!
