Omg and all the other wedding weekend things.. I told people I had to work til noon on thurs (friday wedding) so they wouldn’t come over or make plans lmao. Thurs was Juneteenth and my work is super flexible, I did work but like def didn’t actually have too.

SAME!! I have decided that the wedding itself I’m going to think of it as a photo shoot with close friends and family and our reception is just going to be a weekend long party at an Airbnb! There will be no speeches no fancy sit down dinner and no dance floor!

Wedding photographer here - schedule time to be alone just the two of you, or to take breaks. Do a first look, do private vows (just the basic I Do during the ceremony).

We did private vows & then at reception, we walked around to the tables as people were eating instead of them coming to us. I liked it bc then people weren’t looking for me!

yes!!!!! 👏🏼 that’s why I decided to wear a blusher veil to block them all out and I just focused on my groom. The whole time I just stared at my now husband! The whole time I just focused on him for the entire time!!

We ended up doing a “bridal brunch” the day before the wedding, had immediate fam only for the ceremony (there were 8 adults + 4 kids), private vows with just our photographer & then a reception with about 100 guests. the only speeches were my mom & dad. my also introverted husband and I were THRILLED to be on our flight to our honeymoon the next day 😅

a courthouse wedding was enough for me,a traditional wedding is way too much socializing for me and wasn’t in my budget at the time 😂

My niece had a first look with her husband and exchange vows privately… and then did the ceremony for everyone… her and her husband were the only ones that knew what they actually said, but they had the traditional wedding vows at the ceremony.
